The UPSC administers the NDA exam, which is required for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the NDA. This exam provides a platform for candidates interested in joining the Army, Navy, or Air Force.
NDA I and NDA II are national level exams held twice a year to assist candidates in pursuing a career in the military. The National Defence Academy and Naval Academy (NDA & NA) Examination will be a two-step process in which candidates must first pass the exam and then pass the Service Selection Board's personality test or interview (SSB). The UPSC is solely responsible for issuing selection guidelines and overseeing the final administration of the entrance exam.
Supreme Court Allows Women To Appear For UPSC NDA Exam
The Supreme Court issued an interim order on August 18 allowing women to take the UPSC National Defence Academy and Naval Academy (NDA & NA) exam. The Supreme Court has ordered the concerned authority to make all necessary arrangements to allow women to participate in the UPSC NDA (II) exam 2021, which is scheduled for November 14.

The UPSC NDA Examination has two stages for candidate selection. The written exam and the SSB Round are the two stages of the examination. The entire selection process is for a total of 1800 marks. UPSC NDA Exam Pattern for Written Exam
The candidates will sit for two papers: mathematics and the General Ability Test. The mathematics paper will be worth 300 points, while the General Ability Test will be worth 600 points. Both papers will have a time limit of 150 minutes (2 1/2 hours).
It will be made up of objective questions.
Both papers' question booklets will be bilingual, with English and Hindi versions.
A scribe will not be permitted to assist them in writing answers. A candidate must write his or her own papers.

UPSC NDA Exam Pattern for SSB Round
After passing the written exam, a candidate is eligible for the SSB Interview Round, which is the second and final stage of the recruitment process. A candidate will go through two stages in this examination: stage one will be a screening test, and stage two will include the Selection Board evaluating interview skills, psychological abilities, and group performance. This exam will be worth 900 marks.
